In a colorful celebration of the 39th National Farmers’ Day at Akim Anamase, Mrs. Margaret Adjei was adjudged the Achiase District Best Farmer for 2023 making it her second award after winning the Best Eastern Region Female Farmer at Gold in the earth Awards at Koforidua months back.
Mr. Isaac Donkor from Achiase Junction won the District Best Youth Farmer while Mr. Kofi Atta who is from Aperade Railway Station became the District Best Farmer for persons with disability.
The DCE, Hon. Richmond Amponsah touted the impact of the government’s agricultural policies in the district and encouraged the youth go into Farming and advised all Farmers to use agriculture extension services.
Mrs. Margaret Adjei, the District Best Farmer expressed her joy for winning the award and thanked the DCE and Agriculture Department for honoring her. She encouraged women and the youth that hard work pays and also that farming was a lucrative business.
