The Achiase District Assembly today 12th February, 2024 inaugurated its 3rd Assembly in a beautiful ceremony attended by the Eastern Regional Minister, the MP and the DCE and the chief of Achiase, Nana Gyeni Kantan II among others.
The incumbent presiding member, hon. Bamfo Baffour was confirmed for a third term.
The Eastern Regional Minister, hon. Seth Acheampong reiterated the vital role of the assembly in deepening democracy and local governance and exhorted the Assembly members work hard to promote the government’s agenda for 2025 equal opportunity and prosperity for all and to help check the Assembly to deliver on its Mandate and bring development to the grassroots.
Some basic school students who witnessed the event for the first time indicated their excitement about the ceremony and said it generated a feeling of recognition as important members of society and the motivation to study to be a public servant.
